ENDURING ENIGMA.

Extensively referred to in the Vedas, the mythical Saraswati River is said to have dried up some 4,000 years ago. The Mahabharata says that the river disappeared in a desert. In the Rig Veda, the river is mentioned as flowing between the Yamuna in the east and Sutlej in the west. It is said that the river passed through Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat and parts of Pakistan. Despite several efforts to prove her existence, Saraswati continues to remain an enigma.
